Welcome to Bodyweight Basics, the #1 bodyweight training specialty site on the web. This is the place where you can
get the very best bodyweight training courses and equipment. Here's a brief introduction to what you'll find on our website:
The About page (where you are right now) explains a little bit of history and some of the things to which this site is devoted. |
|
Our News and Updates page features all the new material
and announcements put up on the site. We update Bodyweight Basics regularly, so you will want to be sure to check back often.
In our Products section you will find bodyweight training courses and equipment. Most people define "bodyweight" training as training without weights, but there are still many pieces of helpful training equipment that can be used within the context of "bodyweight exercise." A good example of this would be something like Manila Clmbing Ropes, which can be a tremendous full-body developer. If you have any questions about our products, there's a good chance you might be able to find the answers in our popular Product Q & A section. It's packed with information about our jump ropes, climbing ropes, and the fantastic TRX Professional Suspension Trainer. |
The TRX is just one example from our great lineup of products |

In our Training Articles section, you will
find a number of interesting articles related to bodyweight training. If you have a question about bodyweight training, we set up a special
page for you to ask it here.
Check out my BLOG for daily updates and interesting bodyweight-related topics. To find some other great strength websites and pages around the web that we recommend, check out the Resources page. If you need to get ahold of us for any reason, you will find our contact info right here. To see a full selection of our products, please visit the Order Now page. Bodyweight Basics is the third specialty strength website created by John Wood. If you would like to build strong hands and forearms, check out www.functionalhandstrength.com and if you are a fan of Old Time Strength Training and Physical Culture, this is the site for you: www.oldtimestrongman.com. You might also want to learn about a "new" strength training product that's not really "new" at all - find out more at www.trapbartraining.com. |
