The TRX Bodyweight Suspension training system has generated a mountain of interest since its recent debute. To answer a few questions and to help illustrate a few of the finer points of TRX training, we took some pictures of a recent training session:

The TRX - Power in Simplicity
There are two things that become obvious about the TRX system right off the bat -- the fact that it is so portable and that it takes up about as much room as a loaf of bread. The TRX can go anywhere you do since it weighs less than 2 pounds.

    The TRX Pushup
A variety of pressing movements can be performed with the TRX, allowing for a range of motion that is simply not possible with other types of equipment. Here I am going into a push-up/fly combo. Dips are also an incredibly valuable movement, although the height of the attachment was not conducive to them at this location.

Still, dips, pull-ups and other pressing movements will feel incredibly intense based on the instability factor. Also, keep in mind that this instability contributes to a tremendous core workout.

Another advantage is that you can adjust the resistance level based on where you position your feet, making the TRX useful for athletes of all strength levels.

    TRX Row: Start

    TRX Row: Finish
Another great advantage of the TRX is that you can move into different exercises instantly without needing to make any adjustments. Here's a look at the standing row. Again, pull-ups can be performed easily when the attachment situation allows it. This particular setup was not high enough for pull-ups but perfect for rows.

And, like many other movements, the resistance can be adjusted quickly by moving your feet position. Even if you can't perform a single pull-up, you will be able to get in a great workout with the TRX. Note the bicep supination at the top of the movement for greater arm emphasis.

    TRX Single Arm Row: Start

TRX Single Arm TRX Row: Finish
... And right into the single arm row variation immediately after the two-arm rowing exercise is completed.

    TRX Adjustment
For the next exercise, the length of the straps will have to be adjusted -- it takes less than 5 seconds to do so.

    TRX Ultimate Ab Workout
You'll feel this position immediately -- but holding this is not the name of the game. From there, I swing my legs back and forth like the pendulum of a clock. All in all, this exercise takes roughly a minute and I am still feeling it three hours later.

    TRX Adjustment
It's a bit of a workout getting out of the TRX after ab work but you will get the hang of it quickly.

    Nice workout...
