Nearly three Decades ago a young martial artist from Brazil named Alvaro Romano, began training with the legendary Rolls Gracie.
As Romano progressed he developed a unique system of training which incorporated elements of some of his favorite pastimes:
jiu-jitsu groundwork, Capoeira and even surfing. It was the beginning an idea of humanizing physical exercises, transformed itself into an elaborate training method. Eventually Romano added other elements the other disciplines he learned and observed: yoga and other eastern techniques, ancient natural techniques, and even animals in the wild. Romano would train almost 6 hours a day developing new combinations of movements, which were based on research and analysis of muscular groups. In 1977 Romano entered the physical education program at Gama Filho University where he began developing a method of gymnastics which incorporated these exercises as a form of physical training. He named it "Ginastica Natural" and began training others in his system. Throughout the years, Romano was responsible for the physical preparation of athletes in different sports such as jiu-jitsu, vale tudo, surfing, body boarding, and soccer. |

The Ginastica Natural program DVD combines a number of different techniques in order to provide an ultimate program of physical and
mental development.
From the DVD you'll learn elements of stretching, flexibility, breathing exercises, hatha-yoga, the ground movements of jiu-jitsu, and the natural movements of the human body.
