The first question that people ask about the TRX System is how it compares to gymnastic rings. Gymnastic rings, of course, have always and will always be a tremendous exercise for a variety of reasons. However, every exercise that can be performed with gymnastic rings can also be performed with the TRX but the TRX offeres many unique features that gymnastic rings cannot. Some of the basic exercises that can be performed with both include: pullups, pushups, flys, muscle-ups and many others. With its foot loops and portability, there are many exercises that can be performed with the TRX that cannot be performed with gymnastic rings such as a variety of suspended abdominal movements. These exercises as well as many others are outlined in detail with the included TRX DVD and training courses. To date, we have discovered over 500 exercises that can be performed with the TRX. Another advantage that the TRX has over Gymnastic rings is portability. The TRX weighs less than 2 pounds and can fit in a suitcase, making it perfect for the buisy traveler. All you will need is a stable attachment point which is able to support your bodyweight and you can begin training with the TRX immediately. And don't forget: One of the greatest advantages that the TRX has over any other similar equipment is that is come with a great deal of training information, two dvds and two printed guides. You will know exactly what to do and how to do it when you train with the TRX. |
